LA Foodies

I found a great social organization called "LA Foodies" that is a group that gets together to try out different restaurants, wine tastings, etc. Tonight we had a French Wine Tasting at K&L Wine Merchants near Sunset and Vine. It was a great event, the wine was excellent and the place is a great venue for wine-tasting. They offer regular wine-tastings, check it out at http://www.klwines.com/local_events.asp
Oh and randomly, we saw a famous start sighting at the event. Jonathan Silverman and his wife walked in to attend the wine tasting. Certainly wasn't expecting to see a famous actor at a local wine tasting- but I guess they are normal people too! ; )
We followed up the wine tasting at a nearby Peruvian restaurant called Los Balcones de Peru. It was excellent, authentic Peruvian food in a great neighborhood restaurant with wonderful, friendly service. And the price was right!
